Most students know Jensen Hall has a varied past. Two witnesses to the building’s evolution recently spoke about Jensen’s history and its transition from a Danish nursing home to a Grand View University student dormitory and eventually an academic building. Bill Burma, the president of advancement at Grand View, talked about the history behind the name Jensen and how Grand View acquired the building. Lisa Davis, who worked at Valborgsminde when it was still a Danish nursing home, talked about her connection to the facility and a few notable residents who called Valborgsminde home.
