JV @GV
A lot of young athletes dream of playing their sport at the collegiate level, but no one dreams of being on the JV team. At Grand View you may be surprised to find out that there are more than 130 students who play on the junior varsity team for their respective sports. Many of these students are attending Grand View on a sports scholarship and put in hours of practice each week but get less playing time and less glory. Being a college student-athlete is a grind, and having to juggle all these responsibilities is no easy task. Viewfinder wanted to explore what drives these junior varsity athletes and asked them why playing JV sports is worth the struggle.
