Grand View Student Center is Blessed During Chapel

On Tuesday, August 25th, the new Student Center received a special dedication.

Many students and staff gathered in the lobby of the Student Center to partake in the blessing of the building and the community that Grand View has built throughout its many years.

Led by President Henning, Pastor Russ Lackey and Alex Krumm, a special chapel was held to pray over the new building and what will occur there in the years to come.

During the event there was a welcome, call and response, singing and a scripture reading before Pastor Russ spoke. During the chapel he told the students and faculty that, “We’re asking for God’s presence to be here so we can have peace and wholeness.”

The chapel allowed others to interact, and share in the blessing, mainly through a call and response, where the crowd said “Bless this building; bless this community.”

The chapel ended with the singing of the college anthem.
